Marcus Antonio's contract is terminated
Marcus Antonio's contract has been terminated earlier than planned. Martin Bader: "We wish him all the best".
1. FC Nürnberg have terminated the contract of Marcus Antonio on Thursday (08/08/14). “We have fulfilled Marcos Antonio’s request”, explained Martin Bader, Head of Sport and Publicity at 1. FC Nürnberg. The contract of the 30-year old was due to end on 30th June 2014.
The Brazilian had recently trained with 1. FC Nürnberg U23 under the leadership of Roger Prinzen. There, he was taking rehabilitation measures at Valznerweiher Sportpark to recover from his serious knee injury. Marcus Antonio is currently staying in Asia, where he is having discussions to continue his football career.

“Marcos Antonio has always acted professionally, which is why he has been accepted within the dressing room. Unfortunately due to injury he hasn’t had the opportunity to show us what he can do at 1. FC Nürnberg. We wish him all the best for the future”, Martin Bader explained.
