The sensational spectator figures in the last season prove it beyond doubt - the Club is more popular than ever! More than 800,000 fans watched the 17 Bundesliga home games live in the stadium - a club record! And for the season 2007/08, a record number of season tickets were sold.

The Club has been loved by people in this region for 107 years. And the last season made people outside Franconia sit up and take notice of the 1FCN once again! For many fans the Club is not just a football team, it is a legend. More and more Club fans are no longer content with "just" watching - they want to belong to the Club family. Membership of the 1FCN is a matter of the heart!

"We have had a huge growth in the number of members in the last weeks", beams Roswitha Mebold, from the 1FCN's membership team. Recently, around 50 membership applications reach the Club daily - the same number as used to arrive each month.  When the membership offices opened after the Club's cup victory, 100 applications were waiting on the doormat.  This rapid growth is closely linked to the Club's sporting successes. "Many Club fans", says Roswitha, "always wanted to be members".  With the DFB Cup success, they decided "now is the time!"

In only six weeks the Club has gained more than 2,000 new members, with membership now pushing 8,250. Ralf Woy, of the 1FCN's management team, was recently able to welcome the 7000th member of the Club family when 12 year old Selina Hoeger was presented with a Club shirt number 7,000. Selina is a model fan - a fanclub member and season ticket holder since she was five, she regularly accompanies her father Guenther to the stadium.
